Gursimran Singh, Chairman, Oberoi Educational Trust is grandson of Late S. Harnam Singh Judge. With the eternal blessings of Late S. Harnam Singh, a retired PCS officer, the OBEROI EDUCATIONAL TRUST was commenced in the year 2011. Mr. Singh himself hailed from a poor background in his childhood and encountered a situation when giving up on education was the only way left. However, the Headmaster of the school offered him scholarship and persuaded his parents to continue his education as he was exceptionally brilliant in studies. Later, he was awarded gold medal in class 10th.

The trust had been established with the determination of aiding deserving and financially distressed students in enriching their personality traits for them to reach their academic development and gain employment. Scholarships worth Rs 3,00,000 are being awarded annually. The sole purpose of Oberoi Educational Trust is to provide the necessary skills leading to employment of the prospective candidates. We are proud to declare that we provide well-articulated English Course to the students to ensure they are proficient. Here’s what we do.
How it is evolved?
He Post Graduated in MA (Punjabi) and secured top rank in LLB from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
He qualified the PCS exam with his sheer determination and hard work. In the entire years of his service, he was known for his high order of integrity and punctuality and got retired as Districts & Sessions Judge.
He was awarded the “Baba Farid Award for Honesty” as he served with honesty and dispensed justice without fear or favour.
- S. Harnam Singh Judge used to share spiritual thoughts on “Gurbani Vichar” programme of All India Radio Jalandhar. In his entire life he always tried to help the poor and needy and wanted them to stand on their own feet.
- Mr. Singh believed that “Education can be the catalyst needed to pull families and communities out of the vicious cycle of poverty.’’
- He got his lectures published in the form of book “Tu Mera Rakha Sabni Thain”.
- He authored another book “Gurbani Muhavra Kosh” published by Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana.
